Join the fight against Human Trafficking!
I've donated my artwork and joined the Comic Creators Alliance in fighting against human slavery. Donate to the cause (minimum $1), change the lives of the less fortunate, and you'll get an exclusive wallpaper featuring art of characters from over 100 different webcomic artists.

Pokemon Tournament this Saturday!
A time has been set for the tournament: it will be held this Saturday starting at 6pm Eastern time. You MUST register in the appropriate thread to participate, but applicants will be accepted up until the tournament begins. If you can't or don't make it at that time, then you can't participate in the tournament. Remember: I'll be drawing a prize (or prizes?) for the winner(s)!

The art galleries and comic transcriptions!
Are both things I've been too lazy to update. Sorry about that! Sometimes I really wish I had a webmaster, secretary, or intern to take care of this sort of thing for me.

The Rhea figurine!
Patch Together is working on the prototype. I expect to hear from them soon-- either this week or next week. I'll keep you guys posted.

First! The Slightly Damned community will be holding a Pokemon Tournament!
Keemonto and Khalrin have volunteered their time to organize a Pokemon Tournament next month. I will be drawing pictures for the winners as prizes. Check the forums to read the details and sign up (forum registration required): http://www.sdamned.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=18

Second! Production on the Rhea Snaketail figurine has begun!
Thanks to you guys, the Rhea Snaketail figurine on Patch Together is currently being made! An admin let me know that it will be approximately 2 weeks before I can see the unfinished prototype sculpture. Expect to see photos of the figurine on the website in about a month, perhaps at the end of January. You can still pre-order a Rhea figurine after the prototype is finished, but only for a limited amount of time (currently undetermined). This is good news for people who were interested but wanted to see what the product would look like before ordering. Link to the figurine on Patch Together: http://www.patchtogether.com/store/rhea-snaketail-219.html

Third! Regular updates to the comic will resume on January 1st!
Just in case you forgot, regular updates means once a week on Saturdays. I've changed the way I color comics, and I'm pretty happy with the results! I hope you all like it as well.

Fourth! One of the years I will update the art galleries!
Maybe.

In case you haven't heard, you can pre-order a Rhea Snaketail figurine from Patch Together!

rhea snaketail
Production will not actually begin until 50 figurines have been pre-ordered.

Some people have been saying that they will only order a figurine once they're able to see it. That's a reasonable expectation, but it will be a while before we get to see the prototype figurine. They will only make the figurine after 50 pre-orders have been taken so that they can make up the cost of production and make bit of a profit. Alternatively, I could pay $500 out of my pocket to have the figurine done in advance, but uh... I'll pass.

In the meantime, if you want to get a good idea of what the figurine will look like, feel free to look at some of the other toys available on the site:
http://www.patchtogether.com/store/the-purring-gryphon-216.html
http://www.patchtogether.com/store/clockwork-assassin-195.html
http://www.patchtogether.com/store/foo-dog-208.html
http://www.patchtogether.com/store/hell-170.html

After the goal of 50 pre-orders has been met, the prototype will be made. I have been told that it takes approximately 3 weeks for its completion. After that, pictures of the figure will be posted (I assume), and pre-orders will continue to be accepted for a limited amount of time until a specified date. I'm not sure how long that will be, so don't ask. :B

If we're lucky, maybe we'll be getting our figurines around Slightly Damned's 7th birthday in March!

I'm thinking that the unveiling of the Rhea prototype will be my cue to submit designs for a Buwaro figurine and a Kieri figurine. Some of you may want Sakidos or Deaths, but it's important to me to round out the main trio first.

Tongue-in-cheek title: "Gimme Yo Money 2: Final Destination"

The Rhea figurine is now available for pre-order! Essentially you are buying the figure in advance. There will only be enough of them made for all the pre-orders, and it takes at least 50 pre-orders for them to actually make the figure. No orders, no figure.

Note: I didn't set the price, so don't try to negotiate with me about it. I did set the height of the figure at 4", though. She's kind of short because I'd like to do slightly taller figures of Buwaro and Kieri in the future... IF this experiment with Rhea is successful.

Thank you to everyone who helped get the design this far!

Alternative tongue-in-check title: "Gimme yo money"

So yeah, after a long respite I've finally decided to reopen my commission services. You can find information on styles and pricing here: http://raizap.com/commissions/. Things have changed a bit since I accepted my last order.

Also, I have some good news about the Rhea figurine on Patch Together. I got an e-mail the other day saying that they've approved the Rhea design for the "on demand" stage of production. Hooray! They requested I submit more info about the design, and I did, but I haven't heard back from them yet. I'll be sure to keep you guys updated on future developments.

Thank you so much for your support, guys!

P.S. Man I really should update those art galleries. Someday. Maybe.

rhea snaketail

My concept art for a Rhea Snaketail figurine was accepted on Patch Together today! In order for the figurine to actually be made, it must gain enough attention in the form of positive votes and comments. No votes, no figure!

This would be so awesome if we were able to make this figurine a reality. You can see examples of other figures that have been made through the Patch Together system on their website. Please! Take a moment to vote for the figure! If this experiment with Rhea is success, then I will definitely have more figures made in the future.

I've been waiting for this day for nearly 7 years. Feels good, man.

A lot of you have wanted to see Slightly Damned in print, and now you can! Sort of. I created an original, exclusive page of Slightly Damned for the anthology Webcomics: What's Cooking?. All proceeds are donated to Food Banks of the USA and Canada. Here's a preview of the page I made, so you know it's the real deal:

Pre-order now!

The title says it all, folks. Following the requests of two readers I made two new jack-o-lantern stencils. Be sure to let me know if you want any other designs before Halloween!

Also, there's a little Thadius-themed flash game in the Downloads section now thanks to Ekkkkkknoes.

Updated a few things:
- Pages 1-25 of the comic have been translated into German by Solidfake, who has said he will slowly but surely translate more in the coming months.
- The Oh No Robot comic transcripts have been updated to cover up to page 400. I'll catch up with the rest of the pages soon.
- Jack-o-lantern stencils are now available! The stencils from 2008 and 2009 are up in addition to one new design for this year. Feel free to contact me and request other characters if you want.

I should probably update the art gallery soon. I think.

The new incentive is finally up after I forgot the original drawing at work yesterday! It may not look like much, but it's actually the first in a series of incentives that all relate to each other. Be sure to see it when you can!

For a limited time only: donate any amount through PayPal and receive an exclusive wallpaper featuring the Elexion family! Note: this isn't a donation drive, so the comic will update at the same rate no much how much money is received.

Boy it's a good thing I did all those comics and vote incentives in advance. It's going to be really hard to be productive now:

Things to report: you can download a .zip archive of pages 301-400 on the archive page.

And yes, I will totally be updating the comic twice a week for a couple of months! I thought of holding another donation drive, but I decided to do this instead. It's also kind of an experiment of sorts. Anyway, I have my reasons for doing this, but in the end all this means for you is more comics in less time! Yay.

Hey folks! There's new art by myself (13 pieces) and new fanart by Arborwin, Bugbyte, Lillith, Pompolic, Acriseus, Bunny, and PikachuGunner up in the galleries. Also, I've decided to replace the Palace in the Sky ads on the site with Project Wonderful ones.

If you have any serious complaints about the ads, please let me know. By that I mean there's an animated banner that's giving you seizures or an ad for having marital affairs that snuck in under my radar. Yes, the latter HAS happened. Don't e-mail me whining that you don't like ads in general.

P.S. I'll be making a somewhat exciting announcement soon! I don't know if I'll do it this weekend or the weekend after, but look forward to some good news!
